  • Bride and bridegroom are dressed seperately by their own friends with music accompaniment.
  • At the entrance of the church the bridegroom waits for the bride to give her the bouquet.
  • After the priest changes the rings 3 times, the best men follow doing the same.

        Then the same happens with wedding wreath.

  • The priest walks the couple 3 times round the table and relatives throw rice.
  • The relatives offer sugarplams and melekouni. (rhodian traditional)
  • After the ceremony the bride throws the bouquet backwards

        and the girl to catch is the next to get married.

  • Wedding reception follows with music and dancing.
  • Wedding wish : Na zisete.

Greek wedding
